Privacy Policy

Last updated: 9 October 2026

1. Who we are

NoviBytes SIA, registration number 50203555211, is a small studio in Latvia that makes mobile apps. We are responsible for the personal data described in this policy (the data controller under the GDPR). For any privacy question, email [email protected].

2. What this page covers

This policy covers the website novibytes.com and the messages you send us.

Each of our apps has its own privacy policy, and that policy governs the app:

Two things hold for everything we make. We never sell personal data. Each app collects only the minimum it needs, and its own policy lists it.

3. The website

You can read this website without giving us any information. It has no analytics, no advertising and no tracking.

Like any website, it receives your IP address, your browser type and the pages you ask for. The companies that deliver and host the site process these in their server logs to show you the pages and keep the site secure. We do not use them to identify you. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in running a secure website.

The site sets two essential cookies. cf_clearance is set by Cloudflare to tell real visitors from automated traffic, and lasts up to one year. wpconsent_preferences remembers that you closed the cookie notice, and lasts 30 days.

4. Contacting us

The contact form on our home page asks for your name, your email address, a subject and your message. It also sends the page it was submitted from. When you send it, the message arrives as one email in our mailbox. It is not stored on the website. You can also email us directly.

  • We use your message only to read and answer it, never for marketing. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering people who write to us.
  • Our email is handled by Apple's iCloud Mail.
  • We delete messages once we are done with them, and at the latest two years after your last message. We delete them sooner if you ask.

5. Who else is involved

  • Cloudflare delivers the site and protects it from attacks.
  • Namecheap hosts the site and keeps ordinary server logs.
  • Apple handles our email in iCloud Mail.

Cloudflare, Namecheap and Apple are US companies; they process this data under their own privacy policies and the safeguards EU law requires for transfers outside the EU.

We share your data with no one else.

6. Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, ask us to limit how we use it, or object to our use of it. Email [email protected] and we will reply within one month.

You can also complain to Latvia's data protection authority, the Data State Inspectorate (Datu valsts inspekcija), www.dvi.gov.lv, or to the authority in the country where you live.

7. Changes

If we change this policy, we update the date at the top. The current version is always at https://novibytes.com/privacy-policy/.
